Are you thinking about buying a home, but not sure where to start, especially in challenging economic times? VHDA's free First-time Homebuyer Class can help.
In one day of training, you'll learn the entire home buying process from start to finish, and how to stay on track as a responsible homeowner. The class is offered in English or Spanish, in person or online. And it's free, with no obligation.
Take the Class in Person or Online
Both in-person and online classes are available, however some loan programs require classroom training. Classroom training also offers the added benefits of interactive discussion with industry experts who can answer any questions and help you create a spending plan. Be sure to contact the organization offering the loan program you're interested in to determine the specific homeownership education qualification requirements.

Are You Required to Take this Class?
Anyone can take VHDA's free Homebuyer Class, but the class is required if you're applying for a VHDA home loan. If you're buying a house with your spouse or another person who will legally share the financial responsibility for making mortgage payments, then both of you must complete the class prior to loan approval in order to qualify for a VHDA mortgage.
